Era Of Jazz introduces The Melody Makers

Popular spectacle „The Story of Jazz” by swinging orchestra The Melody Makers will be presented in the Roma Theater on the 15th of March.
The program and spectacle “The Story of Jazz” – comments Dionizy Piątkowski – had its premiere in the famous Lucerna Hall. This time – for the first time in Poland at the only concert Era Of Jazz will introduce the orchestra of The Melody Makers, probably the only European big-band presenting the authentic sound of the 20’s and 30’s. This special concert was prepared in the Roma Theater to show the atmosphere and the style of the epoch. This is not the usual concert of a swinging orchestra, but a kind of musical spectacle with jazz rhythm, scenography and stylization of the epoch. The program includes the greatest standards of the Swing Era: “Sing, Sing, Sing”, “Summertime” or “Blue Skies” together with “Sing Me a Swing Song”. We’ll hear George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Count Basi. A special guest, Petra Kohoutova ( from the popular The Havelka Sisters ) will appear.
